Description

The Pro-Form Fab traction bars are designed for 1999-2010 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 7.3L, 6.0L or 6.4L Powerstroke diesel engine. Available in five configurations covering cab and bed lengths from 70" to 90". Built from heavy-wall DOM steel tubing with high-density Poly-Tuff bushings (lifetime warranty) and zinc-coated Grade 8 hardware throughout.

If your truck has a rear sway bar/links, they will need to be removed prior to installation.

Product Description:

We are proud to bring you our Heavy Duty Tubular Ladder/Traction Bars. These work on stock trucks all the way up to 12 inches of lift and more. They are completely bolt- on, utilizing our clamp style brackets at the rear axle and require drilling (4) holes on each side of the frame for the brackets to attach. Not only are these the best value on the market; they are also the longest, best performing bars on the market. From an engineering standpoint, the bars need to be as close to the same length as the driveshaft as possible to provide the best stability and function as the suspension travels. These bars are just that coming in at the following lengths:

Single Cab Long Bed 70 inches
Extended Cab Short Bed 70 Inches
Extended Cab Long Bed 76 Inches
Crew Cab Short Bed 76 Inches
Crew Cab Long Bed 90 Inches

Don't let the price fool you! Our ladder bars are built from the highest quality materials. We use heavy wall DOM in the construction rather than using heim joints that are noisy and seize/wear out quickly (like some other bars on the market). We use the same high quality high density pt meg bushings found in our control arms. These bushings carry a lifetime warranty against failure.

These are offered RAW (bare steel), with black powder coating, or we will shoot any color prismatic powders offers.

Please note the possibility of shipping damage with custom colors. 2 stage candy colors are not as immune to mishandling by the shipping companies, they do chip much easier than black. We have no issue shooting colors, the shipping companies mishandling the packages does happen however, and is out of our control. All custom color sales are final.

This particular kit comes complete with high quality zinc coated Grade 8 hardware which includes washers to ensure a fast and easy installed followed by a lifetime of trouble free use.

Instructions:
All of our products come complete with detailed step by step install instructions to ensure installation is a breeze. Average install time for this kit is 45-60 minutes.

What Do Traction Bars Do on a Ford F-250/F-350?

Traction bars control axle wrap - the tendency of the rear axle to rotate around the pinion under hard acceleration. On Ford Super Duty trucks with the 7.3L, 6.0L or 6.4L Powerstroke, axle wrap causes wheel hop, drivetrain vibration, and premature U-joint wear. This is especially common on lifted trucks or trucks running larger tires. Pro-Form Fab traction bars mount between the rear axle housing and the truck frame to resist pinion rotation and keep the axle in the correct position under load.

  • Yes. Compatible with the 7.3L Powerstroke (1999-2003), 6.0L Powerstroke (2003.5-2007), and 6.4L Powerstroke (2008-2010).

  • Traction bars prevent axle rotation under acceleration, eliminating wheel hop. A track bar (Panhard bar) controls lateral axle movement side-to-side - a different function.

  • Pro-Form Fab uses a clamp-style rear axle bracket. Confirm installation requirements with Powerhouse Diesel - frame bracket mounting may require drilling.
