The factory CP4 pump is one of the best known weak points on these trucks. When it fails, it can send metal through the entire fuel system. To get ahead of it, add a DCR disaster prevention setup to protect the system you have, or go with a full CP3 conversion and remove the CP4 for good. 2020+ 6.7 Powerstroke Fuel System FAQ

Why is the CP4 pump a problem on the 6.7 Powerstroke?

When a CP4 fails it can send metal through the whole fuel system. That usually means replacing the injectors, rails and lines along with the pump.

Should I get a disaster prevention kit or a pump conversion?

A disaster prevention kit keeps debris from reaching your injectors if the CP4 fails. A CP3 or DCR conversion removes the CP4 altogether. Call us at 865.640.2097 and we will help you pick based on how you use your truck.
